The Trailer
The EPR 4x4 Camper is a ground-up custom build — the first of its kind from EPR. The brief was simple on paper and harder to execute: build an off-road capable teardrop-style camper that’s a decent size, sleeps inside, and stays light enough to tow without a special licence.
It does all of that. The result is a compact but properly capable unit that punches well above what the footprint suggests.

Sleep
Unlike a rooftop tent setup, the EPR is a sleep-in trailer. The bed sits inside the body — a fixed platform that runs 1.9m long and comes in slightly wider than a standard double. No climbing up top, no tent to pitch or pack away, no wet canvas in the morning. You open the door and the bed is there.
The roof rack is built to take a rooftop tent if needed. Mount a 4-sleeper up top and the trailer sleeps 6 — 2 inside, 4 above. That’s a full group sorted from a single trailer.
Kitchen & Storage
The kitchen is well organised with plenty of storage — designed for real camp cooking, not just a side shelf with a gas burner bolted on. A fridge keeps provisions cold, and the layout makes the most of the space available without feeling cluttered.
Power System
Solar — 2 panels, 450W total
Battery — 100Ah LiFePO4
Electronics — Victron components throughout
Two solar panels feed a 100Ah lithium battery managed by Victron gear. Running the fridge, lighting, water heater, and charging devices off-grid is handled without drama. Victron’s monitoring gives a clear picture of what’s going in and what’s going out.
Water & Shower
A 120L onboard water tank means serious range between refills. A dedicated shower with hot and cold water is plumbed in — the gas water heater handles the hot side. No waiting, no camp shower compromise.
